Establishing the Prayer and the Sunnah Regarding Them

حَدَّثَنَا مُحْرِزُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْعَدَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْجُمُعَةُ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ كَفَّارَةُ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا. مَا لَمْ تُغْشَ الْكَبَائِرُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“From one Friday to the next is an expiation for whatever was committed in between, so long as one does not commit any major sin.”
